With Siemens PMI, companies can digitally create and manage detailed product information such as dimensions, tolerances, processing details (e.g. for surfaces and coatings), material specifications, component connections (such as weld seams, etc.), technical and legal (regulatory) information and other relevant data. This information can then be used throughout the entire product lifecycle, from product development and manufacturing to maintenance and support.

A key aspect of Siemens PMI is the ability to integrate this information directly into the 3D models instead of using separate 2D drawings. This not only improves the accuracy and clarity of the information, but also reduces errors and misunderstandings throughout the manufacturing process.
