In this Hint & Trick we present the “Selecting Similar Faces” function in Siemens NX.
This makes it possible to recognize and select similar surfaces within a solid. The tool analyzes the topology of the model to automatically find related areas. This makes it easier to group and edit several similar surfaces at the same time.
After selection, various editing functions can be used, such as “Group Face” to group the faces together, “Delete Face” to remove them or “Select Similar Face” to identify other similar faces. If only the result is visible and there is no separate geometry, the geometry can be modified by specifically adjusting the selected faces or by undoing previous operations.
