In this part 1 of the Tip and Trick we introduce you to the new sketcher in NX.
In the revised version of NX Sketch, some interesting new features and AI elements have been integrated. This was due to the realization that in the ideation phase of a project, traditional CAD sketchers are often too restrictive and hinder creative sketching. NX Sketch makes it possible to sketch creatively without the need for dimensions, mates and relationships.
The new version of NX Sketch uses a newly developed geometry kernel with AI to automatically recognize geometry elements and relationships. Terms such as “parallel,” ‘symmetrical’ and “tangent” are automatically identified. Dimensions can be added or omitted, and constraints can easily be turned on or off to customize the sketch.
